Hello all, coming to korea in December, was wondering what your take on someone who wanted to go out socializing but started off by him/herself, was curious because obviously I dont know anyone there but am not going to just hang in my flat when Im not teaching, Im going to have a roomate but who knows whether we'll hit it off, all people are different. Im a single guy just looking for some fun socializing not every night, but for sure every weekend. Im going to be in Yongin city which is south of seoul and accesible easily by bus, also i understand that yongin city is almost a million people itself, so opportunities should be there as well. If I do go out by myself I know its not my country and Ill have to be careful not to piss off korean guys by shamelessly flirting, but Im no wallflower, and Im a bigger guy who can take care of himself so Im not that worried about it, is there any place in Seoul I should definitely avoid if im looking to do some flirting with Korean women, I know that jeolousy is everywhere, but Im sure there are spots that the people are a little more apt to want to open cans of whup ass! LOL Any comments or suggestions? |

if your a polite decent person i'm sure you'll be fine.. in most places. Just remember.. even "charming" guys from back home have troubles here.
Not speaking the language.. isnt like the movies. Its not romantic.. its freakin hard. |

Ahh, Suwon has about a million people. Yongin?? Maybe more like...50-200,000?? Not too sure. Check it out. There is lots of nature in and around Yongin. It's a bit spread out. Buses are great. They connect to certain subway lines. I work there and the air is relatively much more cleaner than Seoul.
Hoping you have fun here.
Play hard!
