I'm en route this weekend and would appreciate those who've travelled to these destinations to share their feedback. I'm a bog time food junkie and look forward to eating at the local hole in the wall to the 5 star rest; I don't discriminate. Members' feedback is greatly appreciated ...
HK (Best of..)
Dim Sum?
Seafood?
Buffet?
Local Cuisine?
Indian?
Other?
Macao (Best of ..)
Portugese?
Local cuisine?
Etc?
I've scoured the forum and have found a few recommendations like A Lorcha in Macao, Wan Hit Kitchen in HK, etc. Any and all recommendations are appreciated! |

In Macau the LORCHA is the best, bar none. You have to book in advance (2 or 3 or more days in advance for a Friday or holiday). The mussels are excellent and I loved the steaks.
There is also a commisary behind the post office that offers incredible food for lunch. you need to book in advance there too. They only serve 50 lunches per day. The rotating restaurant in the Macau tower is NOT the best food but is a nice view of the harbor, islands and over to the mainland.
For average food, any of the casinos have OK restaurants.
There is the restaurant on the 2nd floor (across the main street from the post office and down a block toward the casino/harbor) that has an AWESOME dim sum as well. |
