|
|
Did a search and didn't find anything that could answer my question exactly:
My contract was ended early (July 10th)
I am leaving Korea this weekend and might come back in a couple of months
If I have a letter of release, do I need to go to immigration to have my visa cancelled? Or do I just give my letter of release to immigration along with my ARC when I depart from Incheon?
Thanks |

Depart, hand in your ARC at the immigration counter when you depart Korea and SAVE your LOR for the time if/when you decide to job hunt / come back.
Handing in your ARC should cancel your visa when you depart but if you have a valid re-entry sticker (or multi entry visa) in your passport they may NOT cancel it at departure time (even if you ask them to).
You may need to submit your LOR (or color copies of it) when you re-apply for a new visa if you come back before the end date of your current visa.
If you come back AFTER your current visa's expiry date then it is all moot.
