Need a team activity that can run for around an hour.

As hands off as possible for the teacher.

Third year middle school students.

Make your own cards for Taboo. I did that for the after-school and summer camp girls' sessions last year (the boys just wouldn't get into the game). It took me a bit of work because I had to ensure I had plenty of cards and that the "taboo" words on the cards did not exhaust the English words the girls were already (supposedly) taught. The girls loved it.

I tried Boggle too, but the girls beat me by a large margin.

Another idea is to get one of those "find the following items" puzzles. Give each one to a group. But don't have the pictures of the items listed. You can either list the words or just the definitions. Don't list the words in Korean.

I can't remember the name of the old TV game show but I'm thinking about using it later this year. The contestants answer questions. For each question they get right, the host uncovers a square on a big rebus. The contestant then tries to guess what the rebus says. Obviously, you usually won't get a winner for the first couple of uncovered squares. Give each team enough time to talk over both the question and what they think the rebus says.

Scrabble is about as hands-off as you can get. I used to reward my uni students with Scrabble day, but it was more like a reward for myself!

Only thing is, making the boards and letters will be time consuming...
