Hi,

I bought RegCure in the past, and found it to be pretty good.
I have also been using CCleaner for the last while, hwich has also been pretty good, AND free.

What would you recommend is the best?
What do experts recommend?

Thanks,
Ken

Well, they are different programs. Regcure is to clear the registry and Ccleaner is to take care of useless files on your system.

Ccleaner has an "issues" option, but only a nut would use it without looking carefully at each and every "issue" it finds that it wants to "fix". "Fix" can mean many things in my experience, none of them good. I don't recommend using this feature of Ccleaner.

They would be good to use in tandem; they compliment each other and don't overlap.

I use Ccleaner and WinASO Registry Optimizer. I run them daily before shutdown and defrag then as well. Set the Diskeeper to defrag the MFT on every bootup, and that keeps the computer running well.

Yeah, I think so. Though, to be honest, I didn't pay for it.

I second this recommendation, learned the hard way.

I swear by CCLeaner. It's never "fixed" something I didn't want it to, or hurt the system in any way. It's updated every couple of weeks and does a great job with the registry.

I'd pick it over RegCure ANY day of the week.

I bought a copy of "WinASO Registry Optimizer" last night.

Found a lot more errors than RegCure the first time I tried.
Looks to be a good & effective piece of software.
Thanks for all comments and recommendations.
