I don't live in Korea any more but I still find myself reading Korean online newspapers (in English) and reading these forums. Heck, I watch Korea related videos on youtube. I am pretty sure I don't want to return and yet I keep coming back to these spots on the web, as if I am trying to understand and think back on my two years spent in Korea. I had some good times, and other days I wished I had just stayed home. But it was a significant experience in my life.

I know I am asking the wrong crowd since most of you are still living in working in Korea. But if you have had friends leave the country, how long was it before they lost interest completely?

Why should someone let go completely. Experiences here will stay with a person their entire life.

I agree. What's wrong with maintaining an interest in a country in which you spent 2 years? Nothing weird about it.

Me: Left K-land about 3 years ago.

Still suffer from post-Korean stress disorder... I tense up when I see Koreans on the street... makes like kinda tough when your wife is Korean.

I lost interest in Korea after the first three months... but continuing to stay so long cuz of my SO. If he weren't here, I'd be long gone.
