I'm in Korea and applying for jobs, but when I do find one, I really don't want to send them my original degree. Is there a place in Korea where I can have a certified copy made, or am I stuck sending them the original?

Thanks!

P.S. Sorry if this has been covered before, I really did try to do a search.

The Canadian embassy notary seal would make the copies look real 'official'. eh?

Was that a sarcastic reply to say "yes, it is acceptable to have them certified by the Canadian Embassy"?

It's been a long day.

CC -

No, not at all. It was what it was...that's all...

an Official Notary Seal from the Canadian Embassy

on a Canadian Diploma

would be your best option IMHO

available to suit your needs here in Korea.

Better...would be to mail your diploma (registered/return) to the Korean

Embassy or Consulate in Canada nearest the University

to be 'certified'.

Either way, may I suggest you keep the original Notarized Copy with

the 'raised seal' and send/give out photocopies. eh?

Since we know you can get a copy certified by the Canadian consulate or embassy you could ship it there.

There's a chance the requirement may be the consulate near where the school is located. I don't know if I was required to use the Chicago consulate
because of my location or the schools.

Is paying for another copy of your degree worth the time/effort/cash it might take to get it notorized? I ask because a first time replacement at my university is quite cheap. I have sent out the original 3 times and had no problems (although in its present condition it won't be up on my wall ever).
