|
|
Does anyone know if Starsports is going to be showing the Rugby World Cup live? I have been watching the Tri-nation games on mediazone.com, but they have just announced that the World Cup is going have a 24 hour delay...
I live 3 hrs from Seoul, so going to Seoul to watch the major games is possible, but it would be better for me and my friends if we could find another solution.
If Starsports is not showing the games, does anyone know if there are any other options?
Thanks for any help. |

There are ads in the Korea Herald for a satellite service which gets you Mnet, the South African network, which I believe is the one they use at Scrooged pub in Seoul. It is pricey, though, running at around 100 bucks a month on top of a hefty installation fee and a big ass dish. The only rugby I have seen on Star Sports has been British club games so far. I did email them asking if they would show it, but have not heard back from the slack c@nts. |

Dam 24 hr delay?
I don't put much stock in Star Sports these days.
Maybe ABC (Aussie chanel) on cable will have games.
Looks like Aussietorrents for me.

If you can get one of your mates to buy a thing called a slingbox (about 150 GBP) back home, they hook it up to their TV and hey presto you can watch whats on there TV on your PC.....apparently. Id be lying if i said i new how it worked or even tried it but ive herd people say good things about. Its what i'm planning to do.

Star Sports (the Skylife version) showed all of the last RWC, every match. I'm assuming they'll be doing the same this year. |

Assume makes an ass out of you and me, pal. I am banking on them not showing it as they have dropped a lot of their rugby commitments of late. |

Yeah, Star Sports Six Nations coverage this year was crap. Nonetheless, they still manage to show a lot of Sevens, the Churchill Cup, Guiness Premiership (and the final live) and even the Heineken Cup final. I was a bit gutted they didn't have on the Super 14 final (as the Sharks were playing) but what can you do.
Anyway, I think I saw a promo for the RWC on Star Sports at the end of the Premiership season. We'll see. |
