Probably a dumb question but in the tourist sites that I have looked at they do not mention beaches. |

when i drove around the coastal road last summer, stopping at every beach i came across, I was surprised at how few of them there were compared to the south coast of the peninsula; even the east coast of Korea has beaches you come across more frequently than Jeju
that said, there are several nice beaches there.... rent a car cheap and do some traveling about |

| There are a few. The ones in Seogwipo were my favorites. |

The more I think about it, the more I'm convinced Jeju is the best thing that could have happened to South Korea. Without it, you'd have ... well, read up on the other beach threads .... "bloody ankles from rocky bottoms, cold water, beaches packed like rats, litter ... you get the picture.
Jeju is the truth! |
