UK man wants travel visa to china quickly

i have a trip to beijing lined up on feb 7th, could anyone explain how i can get a travel visa?

I think that you go to your embassy's webpage and print out a visa application. I'm American, and had to go through a travel agent in Korea. We weren't allowed to just take it to the Chinese embassy. I don't know about people from the UK. Fill out the application, and submit it with a photo, passport, and money to the travel agent. They should have the visa within a week. It's not too hard.

i found out the chinese consulate in haeundae (modern art gallery, exit 3) will do your visa from 9-11 for a price of 35,000won. thanks to those who replied in this thread though....
