I'm going to Thailand next week but only have the single entry visa, so where can I go to get the multi-entry one? Mokdong? The airport? Thanks

I have always been told Mokdong.

Take the 7007-1 bus to Yeoido station. Hop on the subway to Omokgyo station, then go out exit 7. Walk straight about 10 minutes - the road will curve slightly to the right as you come to a 3-way intersection. Cross the street to the island on your left, then cross again to your right. You can see the office from there - lots of corn carts and phone card vendors outside.

So it can't be done at the airport? What happens when I come back if I don't have the multi-entry visa? Is my original visa cancelled?

Get a another single re-entry (you can do this multiple times if necessary on one visa) at the airport on your way out. Stop in the office in the hallway behind check-in counter "F" on the departures level (before you go through security).

Is it as easy as this for a Thai national here on a spouse visa (only a single entry) or should I sort it at Suwon immy? Seems like the airport would be the easiest but I don't want any problems as there won't be time to get a re-entry if the office is closed or they can't do it. I'm flying at 5:30 on a Saturday and will get to the airport around 4:00.

If she is here on an F3 AND has her ARC it will be no problem at the airport.

The office hours are 6:30am - 10:00pm, 7 days per week.

Waiting times depend on the lineups. Normally it takes about 15 minutes to process a re-entry PROVIDED the applicant has an ARC. Caveat here:
... they can be very busy at holiday times (up to 1 hour for your turn at the counter and processing during the late afternoon).

BIG NOTE HERE - No ARC = No re-entry permit.

I got mine online (the website mentioned above) and it took about a day. My co-worker called immigration to check for me and it seems kosher.
