Hi All
I'll be moving to Gimhae in a few weeks to teach English. Having never lived in South Korea, I was wondering what I should expect from this city/area.
What is the expat community like? What about the transportation system? Are there hangouts that English teachers usually frequent? How easy will it be to set up phone/cable/Internet service?
Any help would be appreciated, as I'm pretty green and don't know what to expect!
Thanks so much....

I don't know a whole lot about Gimhae, but I have been there (I bought a motorcycle there). The best thing I can say about Gimhae is that it's relatively close to the coast and to Busan, so you should have near-enough access to amenities without being blorped into a big city. |

Since you will be so close to Busan, check out pusanweb.com, especially the forums. I've never been to Gimhae, except to the aiport, so i cna't offer anymore advice except that |

Hi Normal / Kat......
I'm looking forward to living in a slightly smaller city than the one I'm in now, but I'm worried about the lack of amenities. I'm hoping the proximity to Busan will help with that.
Thanks for the imput!
