I was looking for a job in Busan, however the areas I have been offered jobs in are Hadan and Gupo which seem a bit out of the main foreigner hub. I am now looking at other cities, but just wondered if anyone else lives in these areas what it is really like? Also, is it likely more jobs will become available in the more popular areas in the next few weeks or do these tend to go to people already in Korea? The couple of jobs I have seen for Haeundae have specified people present in Korea only.

with perserverance you can find the right job, its just a matter of waiting. positions come up all the time. it would be better for you to look at the jobs offered section of www.pusanweb.com. hadan isnt too bad as you are near dong-a university, but there is nothing really in gupo. the best places for westerners would be haeundae, gwangali, seomeyon, busan university or kyungsung university areas, as there are lots of things to see and do around there.
