I'm curious if anyone knows what the deal is with this. What does immigration require?
I mean, when i came here i got my degree notarized with a lawyer and then took it to the embassy in toronto to be checked or whatever and then sent it to my employer to do whatever it took on this end to sort it all out. But what if someone lives a great deal away from the embassy...do they get it notarized and then mail it to the embassy in their own country and then have it sent back to them, and then send it to their new employer?
any info would be greatly appreciated...
thanks...

I lived in Denver and had to send my degree to the Korean consulate in San Fran to get it notarized. So yes, you send it to the embassy or consulate, they send it back to you, then you send it to your school. |

my recruiter told me I'd have to get a lawyer to do something to it as well as the consulate. ended up being easier to just mail the damn thing to korea... |

If you are in Korea then you can get it done with your Embassy here in Seoul. |
