I am thinking about a reasonably priced trip somewhere in Korea or close by. It's not a long time for vacation and it will be really hot so I want to know if anyone has any good ideas. Thinking about Jeju or Sarangsan (sp?) National Park.

Where should I stay in Jeju? What is there to do? Just beach and relaxing?

Thanks.

Juju: Rent a car and sleep in it, or bring a tent. Or sleep in the 25,000 - 30,000 won yeogwans in Jeju City. The beaches and waterfalls are excellent on Korean standards.

Or, take a trip to Taean Haean National Park on the West Sea.

umm, if you dont have tickets somewhere already, you may be out of luck. you have to plan your getaway at least a couple months ahead in korea. there are 50 million koreans all doing the same thing during the same two weeks as us ;) (keep that in mind for upcoming chuseok holiday, if you plan to get away then too).

good luck!

Chuncheon is a nice place to visit. Lots of parks, a dam, and a short boat excursion to buddhist temple. Take the train for some nice scenery.
