I have received news of a bereavement in my family and even though I've only just arrived in Korea on my C4, I am flying home for the funeral. Can I get a re-entry stamp on my C4? How do I go about getting one?

Stop at the immigration office in the airport.

Back wall behind check-in counter "F" and down the little hallway.

I don't think they will let you have one. USUALLY you must be a registered foreigner (have your ARC) before they will issue a re-entry permit.

So my best bet would probably be to apply for a new C4 once I get home?

My guess would be "probably" but the immigration people would give you a better answer than I could.

I don't have the policy book handy so I cannot give you a definitive answer.
