|

Hi, has anyone been successful in adding extra pages to a Canadian passport? If so, could you please let me know how and where? Mine is a bit of a complicated situation. I've only got a couple of blank pages left and I am living in Seoul, but preparing for an overseas (next winter) trip to Asia (Thailand & Vietnam), Europe (Latvia, Lithuania, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, UK, and a few other stops), then to Canada and the US permanently. The Canadian embassy in Seoul (which renewed my last passport) says I need to apply for a brand new passport, I can't have extra pages added. The tricky thing is that I am mid-way through a green card application for the USA (applying from Korea, husband is American and we are working abroad) and I am afraid that changing passport numbers would cause problems with my green card application. I absolutely need a blank page left for that!
If anyone has done it in any of the above countries, or in Korea, please let me know. I'm sure some of my American friends have had pages added, so I am wondering if any Canuks have been able to in any other country?? Thanks in advance for your help. |

Your embassy is the authority on this! They are right, Canadians can't have pages added. There are two sizes of passports (I mean two page lengths). You'll have to apply for a new one and see if you can get the one with more pages.
Americans can get pages added, but not canadians. And with all the waits for passports in canada these days, I would get started ASAP. |

| Thanks for your reply. Just wishful thinking I guess! Oh well, with our five year validity, I would have had to do it sooner or later. Fingers crossed for the green card interview... |
