|
|
Is it too late to file a Korean tax return?
I'd like to try to get at least a bit of cash back, but I'm worried it's to late to do any good to file a return.
Actually, in six years here I've never filed once. I think someone else (secretly) filed for me last year when I saw a chunk of cash mysteriously appear in my bank account from the tax authorities.
Also, I've just finished completing my U.S. tax return (I love the extra fou months you get for living out of the country and filing for an automatic extension). So, I guess it seems like I'm a glutton for punishment to want to put myself through the tax paperwork wringer again, but.... If there's money to be returned....
P.S. Don't tell The Man I haven't filed in six years. Shhh!!! |

I've never filed either in Korea- no one told me about it. My taxes were deducted and I figured that was that. What happens if they do an audit? Please provide links to sources if you have them.
You've got me a little worried now |

I think your employer is supposed to file for you in January or give you a tax form.
