I saw her last night on Comics Unleashed.
Mildly funny, but I have seen her be funnier.

Sad thing is when she imitates her mother's accent in English, she does more of a stereotypical Chinese accent as opposed to a Korean one. I guess the bad Chinese accent sounds funnier.

I used to find her cute when she was younger and on that TV show All American Girl, but nowadays she looks like she's doing too many drugs.

Nowadays she's looking and sounding like Rosanne Barr.

I heard that she's married now. Anyway, I always thought she gets too nervous in front of a large crowd. But when she does her act in a little place, she gets in a flow and she can be pretty funny. It's a shame many people can't really relate to her since most of her jokes are about being Korean in the U.S. and being gay/lesbian. She says that she's not a lesbian but she did sleep with women. WTF, I dunno.

Still, she's the most famous Korean in the U.S. (not?)

I love stand-up comedy. I used to spend most of my free time hanging out in local comedy clubs. I've done stand-up myself to marginal success. And I know that Margaret Cho is supposed to be one of the greats.

But I simply do not find Margaret Cho funny. I don't know what it is, but every time I try to watch her stand-up I'm so unimpressed that I can finish it. Her older stuff, her newer stuff....just across the board blah.

When I was in Kansas City a filmmaker from Wamego, KS said he was working with Cho on his next film. There's a good chance she's in Wamego right now.
