| I'm in Ulsan and am wondering where I can buy a space heater for the winter. I want to be prepared if they turn off the heat here at night like they did last time I was working in Korea. Thanks. |

| It tends to be that seasonal things are not on the sales floor until it comes time. For example, you can't get a fan at a big box store in the winter, until around May. It's just like you won't find a sweater for sale yet. Heater units and cold weather will be here within 1 1/2 to 2 months I am sure. |

| It's a natural gas heater that takes tanks of natural gas saying LPG. Sorta like those on RV's back home. We have them at our school and they crank out big time heat, but look like they could be dangerous if a fitting was to not be tight or an O-ring to be dry rotted out. Of course, they never check them, they just start em up when it gets cold. |

| It's liquid! No, I don't believe it is like what we have at home. I thought it was natural gas which is not a liquid. My mistake. |

I was interested in that, too. Where I live they turn ON the heat only at night.l |

| This doesn't answer your question, but it's also a nice idea to buy an electric mat for your bed. Mine cost 25,000 at "Farmer's Market" (you can buy them at any department store or any place that sells home furnishings). I put it on the bed under a blanket or sheet, and while I was using it I had no need to turn on the floor (I lived in a gas-guzzling apartment anyway). You can also buy electric blankets, but I prefer the mat. You might even buy two: one for the bed and one for your favorite couch. I'm glad I did, and it saved me a ton of money. |

I'll second that. I lived for the first part of last winter in an apartment with no heat at all, and the electric mat was the best thing ever! |

I lived in the foreigner's compound at Hyundai Heavy Industries. And they turned the heat off at night. Electric mat sounds good to me  Thanks for the suggestion. No couch, though. But I have my very warm robe. |
