Ok, is it me or are these fights getting more exciting or is just their promotion?

Alright, who's going to win?

Great card this time. Although I really really really would love to see Couture win, I actually see Gonzaga walking through him. I would love to be surprised. I pick Koscheck in the other fight.

This is going to be a good one. Couture and Gonzaga are a good match.

How does Koscheck have an 11-1 record? Is that mostly made up of his UFC reality show fights?

All I'll say is I'm never going to underestimate Randy Couture again. Gonzaga is no slouch, but I think he's getting overhyped because of that one highlight reel KO of CroCop. No easy task, of course, but take that one victory vs. CroCop away, and he hasn't beaten anybody even remotely good. Don't get me wrong, he's deserving of the shot, but in no way, shape, or form should he be expected to walk through Randy Couture.

As for the other big matchup, I see no reason Georges St. Pierre won't win this fight. Of course, I felt the same way about GSP vs. Serra, and I felt the same way about Diego Sanchez when he went up against Josh "The Blanket" Koscheck. Kos' wrestling might just be good enough to squeak out another decision victory, but I really hope that doesn't happen. As for his record, Sherdog has it at 9-1, but if the UFC says 11-1 it might include his fights on the Ultimate Fighter, even though it shouldn't. Those are exhibition fights. He's a bit like Gonzaga, IMO, in that he has an impressive record, but hasn't beaten anyone really good, aside from an upset in each of their last big fights, and have both lost to the 2nd best fighters they fought.

I'm not buying the hype for Gonzaga or Koscheck, but I am looking forward to both fights.

The other fights on the card are mostly buildups for TUF alumni, but anything can happen in an MMA fight.

Kendall Grove vs. Patrick Cote (Grove)
Joe Stevenson vs. Kurt Pellegrino (Stevenson)
Frank Mir vs. Antoni Hardonk (Mir...but he's been awful since coming back, so who knows)

Yeah, Gonzaga looks pretty invincible, but Couture is Couture. Couture has old man strength and the experience. However Gonzaga has the tools to knock him out. I mean, this guy is a monster. When Crocop faught Feder, he went the distance and Gonzaga destroyed Crocop. Maybe it was lucky, but I don't think so. Gonzaga took him hard to the ground and pounded him. Not that Crocop is particularily gifted on the ground, but he withstood Feder.

Anyway, I am giving this one to Couture....decision.

GSP is coming back. Though Koschek is one strong fighter and took on Diego...GSP is meant to reign. GSP folded under the pressure of the big title fight and is looking to regain his form.

GSP in the third. Knock out.
