Just got back from Europe, the UK and Canada. Just to let you all know that the Nonghyup Bank ATM card works a treat. I had no trouble getting money out anywhere.

Cheers

Maybe this is a stupid question but, how do you know if your Nonghyup ATM card will work abroad?

I have a Nonghyup ATM card which says "현금 IC Card" on it, and no idea if it works outside the country or not.

I just recently signed up with Nongyop and they said I couldn't get a card with a Visa or MC logo until I'd been the Nongyap awhile. Was your card a MC or Visa or just a debit card?

I've got a Samsung AMEX card but I've not been able to buy anything online with it yet. I think the reason is because I haven't input the'address' correctly....because I didn't memorize it when I applied. It's one of those long, wierd Korean addresses.

How new is your card? When did you open the account? I was just in Thailand, and Nonghyup card (which is ostensibly on the Maestro and Cirrus networks) didn't work there. My account is new, though.

My Nongyap debit card is about 5 weeks old. It's one of the first things I did when I got here. It's only a debit card. No MC or visa logo. I'm supposed to qualify for one in a few months
