A world away from the mainland. The first thing you notice about this place is how sqeaky clean everything is. The ship building ports in Busan attract a lot of foreign Engineers. Many of them make Koje-do there place of residence. You see much more foreign residents here than in Iteawon.

Unlike the mainland almost none of these people teach E.S.L. They are an entirly different class of people to the English teachers you meet in Iteawon. You can typically see them in the many cafe's sipping tea or wine. They're less likely to be getting disgustingly drunk or talking about the pro's a cons of the local dating scene.

Most of them are married or family. They live in western style housing provided by their employers. They are more likely to have western style stoves and western style bathrooms. I've met several women who claim that they won't go to a Korean resturant without a Korean guide to assist them order.
