A varied response most likely since both have good and bad things to consider...Pocheon is in the boonies, somewhat off the beaten path, but good if you like rural and little action...The EPIK locations could vary just as much from big city to natureville, just depends...Post most information if you want better responses from others...Hope this helps... GEPIK is way better than EPIK. Unless you are the adventurous type I wouldn't sign a contract without knowing where you are teaching or living. BoL.

I didn't know they let you know which school you'll be working for before signing the contract... Shocked

Isn't GEPIK and EPIK pretty much the same shiat?

G = Go
E = Expect
P = Problems
I = In
K = Korea

GEPIK lets you choose which school or place you want to work for BEFORE coming to Korea or getting on a plane. With EPIK or SMOE you sign the contract with the program and once you get to Korea you find out where you will be going and what school you will teach at. I'm not sure but you may be able to decide whether you can work at a primary, middle or high school? Perhaps some people can clear this up.

With GEPIK you buy your plane ticket and go to the school and then eventually to an orientation. With SMOE, the program sends out hundreds of plane tickets to all the new teachers, arranges for them to be picked up and then takes them to some orientation or some place. This is what happen to several of my friends from Canada, not sure if it's different for other countries.
