(Hat Tip to The Marmot's Hole.)

Two GIs questioned for sexual assault, released, attempt to rape lady cop

Apparently, two GIs were taken in for questioning around 5:50 p.m. on suspiction of sexually harassing a young woman, who was walking with her elementary school daughter at the time. After about two hours of questioning, they were released.
Around 9:20 p.m. they were arrested as they were apparently attempting to rape a (plainclothes, off-duty) female police officer.

Here's where it gets really shocking. At first, the police didn't know that the two arrestees were the same two guys that they had questioned earlier.

Here's the original Korean article. And here's an English article from Yonghap News.

Quote:
Police detain two U.S. soldiers suspected of attempted rape

Police said Friday they have detained two U.S. Army soldiers for attempted rape of a policewoman.

The soldiers, identified only as a 23-year-old sergeant and a 21-year-old private first class from a U.S. base north of Seoul, tried to sexually assault the plainclothes officer in an office bathroom in downtown Seoul around 9:20 p.m. Thursday, a police spokesman said.

Gee... wonder if the troops are upset they can't find hookers in Itaewon anymore? No outlet? Maybe the anti-hooker ban in Itaewon is starting to backfire?

These two guys are victims, just like the guy who raped that 61-year-old woman.

Yeah... they're victims. All of those AFN TV and Radio commercials convinced them they were into sexual assault, so they went out and did it.

Those commericals are so overdone, they're turning people into this.

HAHAHAHA
I've read recently on USA Today that U.S government put up the age limit of new recruiters to 35 years old ( before I think it was 28 years )and also they will accept guys who have tattooes on their neck ( before they didn't accept these people ).
So 35 years old men join Army and receive $ 600 - $ 700 a month plus food stamps Laughing and have to go IRAQ.
Tattooes on neck means they are/were possible gang members, now they can join Army.

All kind of social Evil or Very Mad Evil or Very Mad Evil or Very Mad have oppertunity to join Army now.

Actually, there is a new military rule that army members cannot get tattoos above a certain area (I think it's above the waist?). It just passed a week ago. I saw it on the news.

Last time the GI raped the old woman I got some guy shouting at me in Dunkin' Donuts. I guess I better head back there tonight see if he comes looking for me a second time. I'll have my digital camera ready.

It does no good to the teacher community here to continually have GI's giving us a bad rep.

I also wish the media would focus on the high rape stats in Korea- inflicted by Korean men.

Not to justify the actions of those two cretins, but those northern bases are a haven for uneducated, sexually oppressed young men. To be honest, I'm surprised I haven't heard about more of this sort of thing happening.

Theres only so many times you can happily clean an unfired gun. Poor bastards..

That would be the Marines. (from memory)---> They can't get tattoos bigger than their hands, or tattoos visible while wearing their uniform or work out clothing (so upper arm is out).

Many are pissed and I think it's slap in the face to the First Amendment and the guys (and girls) who fight for it.

The rape situations are just one more reason prostitution should be legal, safe and taxed.

Once every for a while, GI's in korea make news, usually they try to steal money from taxi drivers, they try not to pay money to taxi drivers, they try to rape girls, always the victims are taxi korean drivers and korean women.

You can't help them, they leave that reputation everywhere they go.
