I want to go to Japan for a few days but only have a single entry visa for Korea. Can I get a re-entry permit prior to boarding the ferry at Pusan, or do I have to go to the immigration office prior to departure date?

| yes. went two days ago tues sept nine and immigration was closed. but the immigration desk that checks your passport on the way out at pusan port will give you a single exit/entry stamp for 30,000. there is a form to fill out, but they didn't make me go to the end of the line again when i'd filled it out. just cut back in. ask the ferry people and they'll help you. she was there to wave me back in to the front of the line after i'd filled out the form. |
