I'm sure there's an Airport Limousine out that way, right? Otherwise there's travel into Seoul (by taxi if subway isn't running yet) and take it from there. Every major, and lots of minor, hubs have an airport bus stop but they have different routes. I've found the one from Itaewon isn't too long (the one time I took one from Sadang it was 2.5hr). Also in Itaewon you can sometimes nab a cab that will take you for a fixed price. They'll try and cram as many people in as possible but last time I went it was only 20k as opposed to the 13k that the bus charges. Lastly you have the choice of using the subway but that would take a while and I don't think you could make it considering when the subway starts operating and when your flight is.
Also you could stay at a friend's house/motel up in the city the night before and it'd be a lot quicker. From within Seoul I give myself 2hr to get to the airport. |

The airport bus only makes 2 stops in Suwon before heading to the airport - castle hotel and Haniltown.
From Suwon station (or outside your door) catch a cab to the Castle hotel at about 5:30am. Grab the airport bus. It is on a 20 minute schedule. The buses are in the parking lot on the east side (right side if you are looking at the hotel from the street).
MAKE SURE you get the incheon and NOT the Gimpo bus. They are labeled.
It usually takes about 90 minutes to get to the airport.
You should arrive there between 7:30 and 8:00am - plenty of time to check in, make a stop at immigration to get a re-entry permit if you need to and clear through security.

Sounds like a very good plan. make sure you get the re-entry permit because your old one will be canceled when you get the visa extension.
Total cost will be 80k won for extension of your work visa and a new re-entry permit. |
