For those of you that are following the news back home you will know about the new kiwisaver thing. What do you think the chance of NZers being able to get the pension refunded in the near future? Australians can now/near future get a refund right?

as a side note, the money that you put in pension do you get any interest on that money? if not who gets the interest? if you put in a million a year (number off the top of my head) then you should be able to make at least 5% a year right?

I'm curious too...
I paid into the pension for my first job which I will never get back.
but now I work for a private University, so apparently I get it back.
But I'm not sure, since most people on here talk about American/Canadian rights etc.
