Hey everyone, I am a new member after a year or so of reading posts. I am headed to Apgujeong at the end of august and have a few questions about things in general ...hope u don't mind Smile

Skype phones for MAC - any recommendations? i am looking for something with landline-like sound quality (absolutely NO echo would be nice)

And what are some of your specifics ideas of Apgujeong? I have read all the general things about it on the net and heard some things from my current students here in Canada, but what do some of you think??

Peace

The echo comes from the VoIP aspect of the phone service. The quality is iffy even if you buy the most expensive phone in the whole store.

If you have one of the newer Macs, you probably already have a microphone built-in. All you need to provide are the ear buds, so the person you talk to doesn't her an echo (if their voice comes out of the speakers in your computer, the other person is going to hear their own speaking just after they speak).

Apgujeong is a great location within the city if you like city life and going out on the town. As long as your work situation is OK, you shouldn't have any complaints about living there.

apkujeong is alright. my only complaint about it is that despite its reputation for being the pinnacle of korea as far as location goes, it's got precious little green space.

so if you're used to green space, prepare for a little bit of an adjustment.

as far as amenities goes, it's awesome. i've lived here 3 years.

wicked thanks guys! I have a G4 ibook bought in '04, but it has the built in mic u speak of. I never thought of them hearing themselves because of that mic or the speakers....so great point!

I am stoked to come to the city...losing the greenspace will suck, but having a subway to ride to visit my friends should be pretty rad.....can't have it all right
