I keep thinking and wishing that some new-good bars would appear in Itaewan. Some different themes, and a bit more classy without being juicy girl bars. What is your opinion? Were you to plan a bar in Itaewan; what would it be like? What theme? What would you do to get customers coming in?

I can't figure out why there's not a brew pub in Itaewon. They're everywhere else. Sincheon, Myeongdong, Gangnam, ect...

No more bars...
I would open a Barnes and Noble, complete with the Starbucks inside. (I don't really care if it's a Starbucks.. any coffee shop good for people watching) With a massive amount of English books! I guess that I can dream, right?

There is supposed to be a Hard Rock Cafe opening in Itaewon, but I am not sure how they are coming along with that. I like to sit down for a drink sometimes in HRC's and have a great meal.

I would open up a restaurant that sells middle eastern or Indian food.

id set up an authentic English, west country pub. A beer stained carpet thats only being held together by the grime, a thick fug of smoke, two full time yokels at the bar with enough facial hair stuff a matress, a wonkey pool table, Bath v Gloucster on the tele and all the cider on tap that you could ever imagine.

Home sweet home!!

An inexpensive brew pub would rock Itaewon out. Like that one place in Ilsan--I forget the name--Reisenbrau? ..or something. 3000-4000 brews.

Sports bar pure and simple..sort of like Malone's in Shanghai. I can't recall if they use replays or just ESPN or what----but you see NFL or MLB playing allday during the season...

I think it would boom-remember how packed 3-alley was for World Cup?

aside from that keep the place clean and classy----high prices to keep the riffraff out...Don't want to drop 100 bucks?-go sit at Family Mart. Wink

all sports all the time...

A reasonably priced guesthouse that doesn't cater to drunk GIs or hagwon jockeys and their whores, with a Western style restaurant that does a mean breakfast.

The brew pub idea is pure money. I'd hit that in a second.

There is a Starbucks. Barnes and Noble hasn't yet made it to Korea, though ...
