He just shot himself in the heart. Most Americans revere the Constitution and dislike the idea of amending it. Impassioned groups stir things up once in awhile, but we've only amended it 27 times in 2 1/4 centuries--and 12 of those were in a bunch in the first few years.

I need to get up to speed I guess. I don't even know any background info on this "Huckabee" character. I had never heard of him before until the recent race for the party nominations. President Huckabee sounds too much like President "hillbilly" to me. I'm going to dig in and educate myself, as it is my civic duty to do so for all of the prospective candidates. I have a good knowledge of the Democrats, but other than Mcain on the other side, I don't know who these people are.

Huckabee would be one of the worst candidates. He is an ex-preacher, believes in creationism and has no national government experience.

I believe anyone of any stripe of religious/philosophical position should be allowed to run for president. The people can be trusted to make their judgement, if given the information. You however, want to restrict candidates to your narrow standards.

Some of us believe in freedom of speech and conscience; some of us don't.
