|
|
| I am moving from South Korea for good this week and I have to take a trip to the local post office to get some pricing for shipping things. Not wanting to experience a case of sticker shock, has anyone had experience with mailing large packages internationally? In particular I will be shipping to the US and Germany. I will be shipping a box of sweaters, a box of around 7 pairs of shoes with assorted books and a guitar. Is there anyway I can find an estimate online? I know the USPS has a good tool for that but I don't know if there's a SKorean equivalent. Any help you can provide will be appreciated. |

| I remember a member, ttompatz, listed this info a couple months back. You can search his posts. (Mind you he posts a lot, so you might be filtering through stuff.) Or just wait until he or someone else chimes in. Sorry I couldn't be more help. |

The bad news is that your guitar may be too large to send by post.
Maximum physical size for international postal shipping is:
width*2 + height*2 + length < 2 meters. Other that that there should be no problem sending everything else.

Australia is zone 3. Rates for surface mail. Buy your boxes at the post office. A #5 box is the largest you can send.
