This PC bang has blocked access to ublove.com. -after a discussion with the owner, he has agreed to lift the censorship from my computer.

But its not just ublove, Other PC bangs have randomly denied me access to daveseslcafe, google.com, work'nplay, and a host of various international websites. You get a "No under 19's warning sign" with a cutesy picture of a parent protecting a child.

Its almost as bad as the fact many korean email servers will block messages sent from foreign emails.

Is this some sort of plot to restrict korean's contact with outsiders?

Just seems a bit extreme that google is regarded as too dangerous for an adult to venture onto.

google.com, but not google.co.kr....

windowsmedia.com - so no internet access through windows media player for radio stations etc

And I can't figure out the blocks (or lack of) on porn sites. Bubblebutts.com is blocked, but Bootyseeker.com is allowed. Confused (this is at home by the way, not in a PC Bang!)

Sometimes it's just some kind of glitch in their monitoring program. I cure it by installing the Opera browser and using that.

Probably. But it seems too widespread to be just down to accident.
Maybe its because these computers get mainly used for starcraft.
Wow. I can't even get youtube or yahoo now...

PC Bang owners are rather paranoid that they'll be busted for allowing kids to view porn.

It's not always at PC bangs.
