Does anyone know when the English version of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows will be released in Korea?

Many thanks!

I contacted What The Book? this week and they said they should be getting it in the same day as everyone else - on the 21st. Chris also said they're thinking of doing a midnight release if enough people are interested.

Begin? I've already started it...14 days, 13 hours, 4 minutes and counting!

I'll be getting it in the morning though. No sense rushing out to buy it at midnight only to bring it home and sleep!

I'm confused, though, about the time of the release. I've seen sites that say it will be simultaneous according to England's release at midnight. Does that mean it will be available here in Korea on Saturday morning at 8am? Just curious. I know that it's coming out on July 21st; I'm just looking for more specifics coz I can't wait! Smile

I'm not sure about whatthebook but when I checked kyobo and Libro websites and they're also releasing it on the 21st. They have both the US and UK copies but if you pre-order you can get 40% off. I put in my order last night.

No joke, right? I would hate to be up there at midnight to find them closed. Laughing

Chris told me that they would announce on Wednesday if they were opening up at midnight.

I did check Kyobo and they do have both covers (US and UK) for about 21,000 won. The Kyobo near me only has the US, but the website has both. Plus, they have the deluxe versions.

Well, the sale is really at 12.01 AM on July 21st--that's Friday night one minute past Midnight to you and me. That's right you can be one of the first people in Korea to have "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows". What the Book? will reopen at 12:01 AM on Saturday July 21st for one hour so you can pick up your copy of "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows".

One more thing before all the legal stuff below. The best dressed Harry Potter character will get a 100,000 Won gift certificate.

Please read the following carefully.

1. If you have not yet pre-ordered a copy.

Do it now! http://www.whatthebook.com/book/9780545010221

We currently only have about 100 copies left. If you do not get one of those 100 copies you will have to wait a week or two until we get our second shipment. If you do take a chance and wait until the midnight sale to make your purchase in person, we are limiting each person to one copy.

Please remember that your order is not considered complete until you have paid for it.

2. If you have already ordered a copy a and have picked "pick up in store" as your shipping option, the only thing you need to do is show up with some form of government issued ID--any government. You will still have to wait in line like everyone else.

3. If you have already ordered a copy and have picked "normal shipping" as your shipping options, you have two choices. A. Your book will ship out Friday night. It will arrive on either Saturday or Monday. B. Notify us by email at [email protected] before 1 PM Friday July 20th that you would like to pick it up at the store.

Rules to the line up:

1. No holding places in line for friends or family.
2. You may only leave your spot in line for a toilet break. Talk to the person behind you about it before doing so.
3. One book per customer unless you are picking up a pre-order.
4. No picking up books for friends or family.
5. Your government issued ID card must match the name you used when you placed the pre-order.

Your Pal,

Chris
