When you first arrive home , what will you eat and do ???
(Of course not all at once)

As for me,

1. a greek salad
2. Dad's Chocolate Chip cookies
3. licorish
4. cheese, cheese, and more cheese
5. peperoni sticks
6. deep dish apple pie
7. poutine
8. North American Chinese food
9. smoked salmon eggs benedict
10. a Ceasar salad

I also want a decent high pressured shower, my clothes dried in the dryer with a Bounce sheet, a comfortable bed, CBC radio and television ( can you guess I'm Canadian), a warm bubble bath, drinkable water from the tap, London Drugs, a swim in ocean, a campfire in the forest, a visit to the library , shopping for shoes and clothes in normal sizes , etc.

How about you ???

I would also add:

Wings at a pub

Nachos at Moxies

Spiros Pizza

M&M stuffed jalepenos

7-11 nachos

op, that is a good list, made me a tiny bit homesick ~^^
but I would add:

avacados on toast with salt or with a spoon straight from the skin

a hot water bottle (its winter now)

spinach and cheese pies

chives cottage cheese on crackers

open fire place

camping with fire and marshmellows (never seen them here)

ride a bike on the correct side of the road and without fear of being killed

and if it was summer: a family BBQ on GRASS surrounded in TREES with potato salad and garlic bread.

Definitelty mexican food, real beer, reasonably priced tequila, mom's meat loaf and chili cheeseburgers. I just might gain a few kilos on this trip home.

You can listen to CBC where you are now through Internet streaming, can make great ceasar and greek salads, swim in the ocean, camp in the forest, eat pepperoni sticks and licorice, I know because I've done all that here, to pleasant effect (except for the imported licorice, uggh, I only like red, not black).

But meeting old friends, going to the library and getting great versions of these following things are indeed beyond one's best efforts in Korea:

And no matter how hard I try, I can't find nor make a decent lasagna in this country!

Do a load of laundry, then put it in a DRYER.

Eat some deep fried cheese curds.

Eat some cookies.

Drink some Leinie's and some Spotted Cow Beer.

Drink home the home brewed beer my friends make.

Eat a Kwik Trip roller dog.

Ask for my old job back at Wells Fargo in Minneapolis. If they don't rehire me, ask for my old job back at Disney in Green Bay.

Drive my station wagon through the American South and back.

Walk into my favorite bar back home, sit down and order a guiness like I always do as if no time has passed.

Wow. That list includes three activities revolving around beer.
