|
|
I come home and there's a note on my door about the electricity usage. I called the number on it and the guy on the phone (not sure if it was the electric company or someone else) tells me that my electricity usage is really high.
I pay about 50,000w a month. I use the AC a lot and have a couple computers that I leave on.
The guy on the phone said something like "If you keep using the electricty, your bill will just keep going up and up."
So, that being said, how does the electricy bill work here? Do they charge you month to month resetting the number of kilowatts you use every month or is it a cumulative thing.
The reason I ask is that I told the guy that my electric bill has been about 50,000 in May and June and that my usage hasn't changed since then and that I'm used to paying 50,000 in the summer. He told me that I shouldn't use that much electricity because my rates will automatically increase. |

Theres a penalty for use above some basic threshold. IE for the first X kilowat hours you pay Y whereas anything from X-2X costs twice as much and 2X-3X four times as much. (thats not specific but gives you an idea). Be careful running your AC- most Koreans I know (and my family as well) only run it for an hour or a two a day. |

You actually got someone on the phone who speaks English? CONGRATULATIONS! You have better luck than me. |

Does this usage reset every month? Every 3 months? |
