Ok . The time has come . Summer course is finished and officially on holidays . Time to do a bit of exploring in the "big city" .

Where's the place/area to be with a good vibe, if I want to "kick it" with some good people ? I'm looking for "vibrant and lively" more than "chilled out and mellow" . (For now anyway). Suggestions would be welcome .

Hongdae (Hongik University). Try Tinpan and Tinpan 2 for expats dancing. Stay out of Harlem unless you want to be maddogged by retarded, hiphop wannabe Koreans.

Of course, Itaewon.

Sincheon is fun, so is Gangnam.

When you get to a subway station, ask for an English map. Find the Northwest section of Line 2, it's the green circle line. You'll see Hongik University. Go there, take the Hongik Uni. exit and walk toward the University (follow the maps and street signs). When you get to the Uni, take a right. When you get to an intersection with a streetlight, look down the street on the right. You'll see Tinpan 1 and 2.
