I've got a 600 + page Word document (with huge #'s of jpg + other files pasted in, if that makes any difference). I want to save this on a USB drive. My questions: A) Is this possible?
B) If so, what size USB?

Thanks in advance.

600 pages with no pictures maybe 25 megabytes?
with pictures/charts/graphs it's going to get bigger. but size is not an issue these days now that you can buy a 4gb usb drive for 20,000 - 30,0000

just buy a drive that's at least 1gb and you should be fine.

...Thanks. I just looked up the diff between mega and giga bytes on Wikipedia. It's funny how we're so immersed in tech these days + yet so many of us (like ah... myself) can still remain completely oblivious as to how it works in every way. Cheers.

right click properties to see how big the file is, it's not going to be that big, it's just a word document

if you're just worried about data backup, you could try saving it to your email.

Text files and Word files can be easily compressed to very small sizes. Use ZIP or RAR.

As for transferring them, I agree with the person who said you should save it via email. Use Gmail. I've used that to avoid buying a USB stick.

USB sticks are cheap these days and can come in really handy... not a bad small purchase imo.
