I am bragging.

Summer schedule:

1:30 ( arriving just on time is acceptable)

to 5:30 ( by the time I sweep my classroom)

Then go home. ( to my small , but fully furnished room 5 minutes away)

Actually to the fitness club 1 minute away, then home

Normal hogwan pay for outside of Seoul. Full benefits. Honest owner ( nicks on the taxes a little)

Usually I work 5 hours so I really need this reduced shedule to rest up!

I have been here around two years so far , but may move on. It is a little boring where I am at.

Guess it's all a matter of perspective. Glad you two are happy with that.

Bragging:

Retired at 55 . . . after 18 years of great life overseas - courtesy of US Peace Corps and TEFLing.

Uh . . . never lived in a "room" (well one week while my apartment was being readied - once) and never had to sweep the room . . .

Amen, brother. I'm right behind you. I'd like to be 'functionally retired' by 45, just teaching a couple of courses a semester, and bugging off for 5 months a year.

Three days of teaching 10 of my favourite students from 8.40 to 12.10.

Then go home to my two-bedroom, furnished house.

Actually go to the staff room, a 2-minute walk away, to work on some stuff, and then home.

Then go to Canada and wherever else and take the rest of the summer off.

I've been at my school for around two years and don't plan to go anywhere.
