Does anyone know specifically where the expats go and gather in Pyongtaek?
I've heard there's a pretty big expat community there, and it's just down the road, but I never know where to go there. |

I think someone is pulling your leg unless they mean the US military stationed there. If you want to be around many americans, just go to camp Humphreys on bus 20. Lots of bars to hang out in. |

In front of the gates of the base there are a lot of foreigner bars. Probably a few juicy bars as well, but I've only been there once and didn't stick around long. Still, if you have a thing for being around foreigners that's one of the places you'll find them. |

I'm in Anseong. Would bus number 20 in Anseong take me to Camp Humphreys from there? Soldiers suit me just fine, it'd be nice to tlak to some other Americans. |

You dont' need to go to the base to hang out with some fellow expats. There are a few good places in Pyungtaek to hang out in.
1. Cream Bar............great selection of music...darts, live music, good beer.........friendly staff.
2. Indian Camp.......
3. Co2 Bar
4. California Bar
5. Jazz Bar
2-5 are by the New Corps area.

You might be able to take 20 in Anseong. I never rode it all the way out the opposite direction. There is nothing wrong with hanging at camp Humphreys. You can meet some interesting GI's or civilian contractors. Maybe even someone from the same hometown! |

"1- Cream Bar"
"2-5 are by the New Corps area"
So how does one get from Pyongtaek Station to Bar # 1, or to the New Coprs area? Humor me here; I don't know Pyongtaek at all.
In fact general request fo advice from anyone reading this--- how does one get to Humphreys from the Pyongtaek subway station? The bus I take from Anseong stops there and then turns back. |

Go across from the train station to the left and look for Mcdonalds about half a block up. Bus stop in front. |
