Hello,

I am sorting through all the job offers and was wondering of someone could help me with a question. This will be my first time on Korea and I was wondering if Kyonggi-do was a good place to work. I couldn't find much information on the place, but I have a nice public school opportunity. Is it relatively easy to get around in, good shopping and nice for people who can't speak Korean. Any advice on teh public schools there would be very helpful.

Thanks!

Kyonggi-do or Gyeonggi do to use the alternative spelling is the largest province in Korea ... It is not a city .. It is the region surrounding Seoul and has many different towns in it ... A better question to ask with Gyeonggi is to ask the same question about a specific town in the province ... It ranges from towns which have stations connected to the Seoul subway system ... so which are in many ways like living in Seoul iteself ... To quite small towns in very rural and somewhat isolated areas ... It would take a number of hours to get from one side of Gyeonggi to the other ...

If you give us some idea of the town ... there is probably someone on this board who lives ... or has lived ... in the town ... There are a lot of Gyeonggi teachers on this board
