I just typed my name into yahoo.
Damn, I'm so technically backwards I didn't even google myself.
Anyhow, I was wondering what might come up if I searched under my name on the net and loads of stuff such as ads I posted on employment websites popped right up with my contact details the lot.
Kind of weird knowing someone could type in my name and get my email address or whatever.
Any way that whenever I post inofrmation about myself on a site such as an employment website (such as englishspectrum or the like) I can make sure it wont be retrieved in a web search, other than only posting on secure sites.... |

Doesn't exist.
If you put it into the internet, it can be found by someone determined enough.
Heck, if you owned a website, someone could find out your personal info within seconds. Just as I was typing this, I got the home address of someone. It's that easy.
So, what I'm saying is: Be afraid. |

If, if, if.
Internet privacy is only as good as you make it. Knowledge is power, paranoia is a good guide and pedantism is paramount.
I have told so many fibs about myself here I can't even imagine what people may put together in a profiling of Demophobe. Lots of contradictions, that's for sure. That's a good thing though.
There most certainly is internet privacy, but most people aren't willing (or don't know how) to go about implementing and maintaining it.
Be paranoid on the net; then both will serve you well. |

Most website companies like godaddy.com offer a proxy service
so they are the registered owner of your domain and if people
look it up they get godaddy's physical address. |
