In short, it looks like an Asian parasite got loose in the North American population. Asian bees have natural resistence. NA bees don't. They took it on the chin. So, that guy who was claiming it was GMO crops and how we need to take action now to save the bees. Wrong.

Mystery solved. That's good....

This sort of thing will keep happening as transportation of goods globally becomes more common...
