So...it looks fun! Anyone going? I tried to find a price on this webpage, but no luck. However, looking at information from past festivals, it seems it has been FREE in the past. Anyone know if this is still the case?

I was wondering about whether to go both days, because I don't care much about the lineup the first day but wanted to see Crying Nut in the evening. If it's free, then I could just show up on Saturday evening to see them, and then catch most of the acts I'm interested in on Sunday. Yay!

I'm surprised that the Yoon Do Hyun Band is playing (however, they now go by YB???). I know they have charged a fair amount for their concerts...

Do you think they'll be decently priced accomodation nearby?

It's free.. well it was last year

Sorry, I don't know about accomodations. I was living in Busan at the time last year. It was at Dadaepo beach last year, which was way out on the outskirts of Busan

So, I went on Saturday, and it was great fun. I wanted to stay for Sunday's performances, but I had stuff to do. I had some yummy fish at Jagalchi market and then headed over to the beach- the shuttle buses from subway stations were a good idea and well organized. I got there right as Rock Tiger started to play and they were very fun (rockabilly style), more of that in Korea please! The Malaysian group after them was mellow, and the Japanese group Doberman was cute. Then the mayor gave a little speech, and there was a fireworks show...and then Crying Nut played, which was fun (although I tend to like their newer songs better than their older ones, and wish there had been some more variety in their set). I kind of wandered off during the Kim Jeongso band, and then tuned in for some of Tokyo Ska Paradise Orchestra (who were technically superb, but I was kind of ska-ed out at that point).

Did anyone else go? How was Sunday? The weather and atmosphere on Saturday couldn't have been better...gives me hope for Korean music!

Sounds like it was a great time. I am too far away this year to have been able to go to the festival.
