I'm looking to find a nice spot to camp, ideally where one could get ones lines wet of an afternoon.. Anywhere 2-4 hours from Seoul would be ideal.. I've got a motorbike and would just like to dive off the beaten track and find somewhere i wouldnt be bothered for a couple of days, so no national parks, hiking trails etc.. not holding out for GPS coordinates, but any hints or tips would be ace Smile

Get a detailed road map and look at the national and provincial park areas. I love camping and fishing myself, but don't get out any here on account of not having transportation. I live 15 kilometers from a really good bass lake, but buses only run every 2 hours with the last one at 6PM so that isn't any good.

The places you really want to go require a car or motorcycle which you mentioned you have, but also are not advertised anywhere so you have to get a map and explore around. Same as anywhere else when it comes to finding good places away from crowds, families, and laws like no fires allowed. I really wanted to get out this year, being in Korea, but I just don't have the means to do it by myself. Really could have had a good friend that just is not here. I know one guy here into camping and fishing, but he does trout tours to high paid professionals and just had a baby with a Korean woman so he is not hanging with the boys anymore. Good luck finding the places and finding anyone to go if you are looking for people to do these sorts of things with. I used to go by myself over the years, but I knew what I was doing in the USA and had a car, while I did take a few friends out to the country here and there.
