I put together some web pages and I am looking for a host. A free one would be best but I have some video and quite a few photos. I may need a fair bit of space. |

My website is on byus.net. You don't have a complete domain name to yourself (you can see mine below), and you have to post video with the asf extension, but I'm paying 10,000 W a year for 500 Megs. I've had no problems at all with the site.

for the most part free hosts will have ads either pop-ups or banner ads on the top of the page. Additionally you will be limited as to what kind of files you can use.
do a google search for "free host review" and you should get some sites that off reviews so that it is easier to compare. You could also try cheap host reviews. |

You can find lots of information and prices of what you might need at http://www.webhostingtalk.com/. It's the busiest online community dedicated to webhosts. You can go as low as $1.50/month for 100Mb space and 2G Bandwidth, up to 1Gb space and 20Gb Bandwidth for $7/month. Or more specs, if need be. These are all shared server prices, of course. |
