Hi

For those of you that have Broadband in your apartments only- What websites do you go on to get internet TV? Shocked

I'm hoping to be able to watch all the main UK programmes as I heard BBC was going interactive but was wondering about the costs? And choices?

Anyone out there try this?

Cheers

There are a lot of low-quality choices out there for trying to find things online, but if you want to watch TV like you would back home, check out this amazing little toy:

Too good to be true. I get the exact same stations my parents get, and I have control of the remote from here. I could get satellite if I wanted it. No monthly fee (other than the cable or satellite that you or your fam/friends are already paying for).

My brother setup a slingbox for me on his digital cable. In turn, I setup a slingbox over here so that he can watch Korean programming.

I can't wait til football season. I'll be able to catch all my favorite games.

slingbox is really that good? I guess the only experience I have with internet TV is MLB.com and they seem to downgrade the quality to save on bandwidth so it looks like crap

The quality of the feed depends on the upload speed of the locaiton of the slingbox. Also, I found that "direct connection" to the slingbox allows for higher bitrates than if you used the slingfinder ID to locate the slingbox.

As for watching TV just like back home, its the best thing there is.

You can watch your slingbox from your computer at home, computer at work, cell phones, etc...etc..

I use utorrent and download torrent files from http://www.eztvefnet.org/

I increase the number of files I can download at one time because each single file is kind of slow.
