Its really easy.....i do the ferry to train station transfer everytime i have been to Fukuoka...
Just get off and go to the bus stop at the front of the terminal..
there is a big sign board that explains in english how to get to the train station..
Catch the bus(back door and pay throught the front door when you get off) and in 10 minutes you are at hakata station....cost is 220 yen. |

excellent, thats really helpful.
one more thing - i gather you're living in busan, but do you happen to know how far the express bus terminal is from the port? i don't want to leave myself short of time & miss the ferry. |

the bus terminal is a LOOONG way from the ferry terminal...maybe 30-40 mins by taxi.
The train station however is much closer, only a 5 minute taxi ride so you are much better coming in ona train if that is possible.... |

| Where do you live? The KTX isn't the only way by train to Busan Station. If you can get a smaller train from your area, you can still get to Busan. Yeah, the express bus terminal is REALLY far from the ferry terminal. Don't take the bus. |

You can get a 3-day Nishitetsu highway bus pass for Y10,000. Well worth it if you'd like to see Kyushu and don't mind joing the 6 foot high club.
*** the beep is N i s h i t e t s u. it's a bus company. why dave's feels it's necessary to beep it is beyond me. |
