Can anyone tell me if electronics are reasonable priced in Korea compared to Ireland or the UK?

I need a new Ipod and a laptop and don't know whether to buy here or wait till I get to Korea....

If you buy in Ireland you can claim your VAT back at the airport. (Final airport when leaving the EU - so depends on your route for which airport you do it at.)

You MUST get a special form filed in when you buy the laptop. That may involve asking several people until you find one who has a clue, some shops don't get many requests and may try to fob you off with a VAT receipt.

Easy procedure, ask me if you want more details. (You can't use the laptop before you go, so that is a condiseration. I wasn't asked to show it at the Customs refund area but they can do if the mood takes them.)

Buy before or after you go to Korea, don't buy Korean. Enough said?

Alright then, trivia quiz-
Who replaced Brian and who replaced Brian's replacement? And finally, what is Brian's full name?

Mick Taylor replaced Brian, Ronnie Wood replaced Mick. Mick was a much superior guitar player but Ronnie is mates with Keef so it was a done deal.

Put it this way, the K-government slaps a high tax on anything that's imported, so I should imagine that Korea is more expensive when it comes to Ipod.

I don't know, was Brian really his middle name or something? Don't know the answer. Can I have the prize anyway, is it an Ipod?

Aww...you did so well... the final answer is....Lewis Brian Hopkin Jones (28 February 1942 3 July 1969).
Sorry, but the prize is only my undying respect for your oversized avatar!
