Just watched three K-1 fighters go down in a row. One limped away, one was sent away in disgrace, one just crumbled.

Can someone who speaks Korean or Japanese help me out--
Did Yong Soo Park win or no?
In the first round, he was looking just beautiful--swift and elegant-- and I was so disappointed to see the match end. One of his kicks went astray and tapped Mushashi's bits, so after the beleaguered Japanese fighter had recovered they went head to head again, and Park aimed a merciless kick at his bits. Mushashi was on the ground for ages, and the match ended. So who won?
Never mind. They've given them a rematch. Amazing that Park wasn't disqualified.
Also, I was wrong-- there's at least one more Korean fighter in the tournament before Choi. I'll update in a minute or two.
--Kim Tae Yeong defeats the mighty tank with a vicious kick to the head! Korea is redeemed!

Saw the Dane take down the Japanese guy earlier.
Went right as I predicted....the Japanese guy threw everything at it in the first two rounds, tired himself out, then took a solid right once he started to get lazy with his guard..and it was over.
What can I say? pace yourself and conserve your energy? |

| Holy smokes. Musashi got his revenge-- absolutely toppled Park (out cold?) and would probably have eaten his face for dessert if they hadn't pulled him off. I think one of Musashi's handlers gave him a slap in the face to settle him down. |

Why did Musashi go bezerk after knocking his opponent out cold? Was it revenge for getting kicked in the nuts not once, but twice? (I'm sure that they were accidents. Park received a yellow card for them, and would probably have been disqualified with a third.).

Me, too. What Danish guy? The only one I saw was Nicholas Pettas, who gave the legendary Peter Aerts a good fight before being finally sent to join Peter Pan and the Lost Boys in Neverland. |

Depends whether you call two kicks to the groin a back story.
I guess I'll have to eat my words-- a Korean just won the first semi-final round.
Did anyone else find it weird that we didn't get a reply of Musashi's KO of Park, or footage of him being carried out of the ring? It just cut straight to a commercial, and then afterwards the replay started, but was stopped. Korean broadcasters saving a bit of face?
I was rooting for the Danish guy. Aerts strikes me as a jerk and that lumberjack outfit is ridiculous.
I'm really looking forward to the Clash of the Titans (i.e., Choi vs. Goodridge) and I have a huge crush on Badr Hari. Now if I could just shake this hangover so I could properly swoon..
Oh! Poor poor poor Musashi. Not his day at all. I was writing this when I heard yelling from the next room-- can you guess what happened... again? |

Peter Aerts KOs opponents like that all the time. That why he's a legend.
I'm really confused now. Wang Qiang just gave Musashi his third (!) low blow of the tournament, yet he was awarded the victory by KO?

DRAMA!
Musashi has been camped out in the ring, calling Wang Qiang back, but he refuses to budge.
What what what?
Musashi should have been given three minutes to rest, but the "towel was thrown in" and Qiang left the ring, so Musashi has been awarded the win!
This is going to be one sorry final... |

| I don't understand how Musashi won?? His corner gave the towel which the referee marched around the ring in the air, after which, the ref announced the Korean guy the winner. So I am a bit confused. |

I know. I'm boggled. The ref raised the Korean's arm after making the time-out sign... so it makes sense that he would have left the ring. What exactly does the towel mean? |
